Come celebrate the 42nd Running of the Buffalo Stampede at the New Helvetia Brewing Company! Meet Pete Magill, record-setting masters athlete and author of Build Your Running Body and The Born Again Runner. Pete will be setting his sights on the American 10 Mile age group record for men 55-59, set by Jim O’Neill (54:25) in 1994, at our race! Pete is the fastest-ever American age 50-and-over for both the road 5K (15:01) and 10K (31:11), and he’s coached athletes on all levels for the past three decades. His first book, Build Your Running Body, provided an encyclopedia of knowledge on every facet of training. His new book, The Born Again Runner, targets new and returning runners, offering motivation and guidance for overcoming every obstacle—with more than 70 pages of photo-illustrated injury-prevention exercises that will help all runners stay injury-free. Pete will talk about his book and demonstrate injury-prevention exercises beginning at 2 PM. His books will be available for purchase, too. So bring your friends and your questions, and enjoy some great beer and even better company!
