On April 28th 2016, local restaurants including LowBrau, Kupros, Lotus Thai, Capitale Brasserie and Oak Park Brewing Co are participating in a fundraiser called Dining Out For Life benefitting Sunburst Projects a local non-profit that serves children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. On this day, each restaurant is donating a percentage of the day's proceeds to Sunburst. The goal is to drive as much traffic to the restaurants as possible on this day. Participating restaurant percentage donations: Lowbrau (10% of bar sales), Kupros (33% of total sales), Lotus Thai (30% of total sales), Brasserie Capitale (33% of total sales), Oak Park Brewing Co (15% of all beverage sales). The beer enthusiast has great options to choose from on April 28th to support their local brewers and local non-profits.
