After the success of last year's inaugural BB&B fest, the Loomis Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the second installment of this family-friendly, community event!
Featuring live blues music by some of Sacramento's staple blues acts, this year's festival is sure to be even better than last years!
Once again, the show will be held at the Peter Oakes Stage in Blue Anchor Park- Loomis.
This year's featured acts include:
-Pailer & Fratis
Two of Sacramento's Blues Hall of Fame alumni, Jimmy Pailer and Lew Fratis have been entertaining blues audiences in the Capitol City for over 30 years. With a mix of originals as well as well executed blues cover tunes, this duo is known for their witty banter, incredible musicianship and a long history of friendship with blues patrons in Northern California!
- Mick Martin And The Blues Rockers
Capitol Radio's longtime staple blues DJ, Mick Martin and his Blues Rockers have been THE blues/rock standard in Sacramento for the past 40 years. Playing all the major festivals and entertaining audiences of up to 10,000 at a time, Mick and his band deliver his well known brand of Blues/Rock that has shaped most of the area's blues bands today. With regular dates at all the pertinent blues fests world wide, this band boasts a heavy touring schedule, as well as 3 European tours throughout the years. Featuring, up and coming bluesman, Kyle Rowland of the Kyle Rowland Blues Band, Kyle has performed with almost all of the worlds most famous blues players. His energetic and heartfelt performances rarely stray from the roots of the sound he holds so dear and as a result has attained fans all over the West Coast.
Mr. December's Wintery Fresh Grooves
Mr. December is a hard hitting, soulful, funk/rock band out of Sacramento, Ca.
With a unique take on some of your forgotten favorites and a diverse selection of original tunes, Mr. D doesn't ever stay in one genre. Complete with a notable guitar section and a set of horns that sets any dance floor on fire, this band is host to some of Northern California's most experienced musicians. Fronted by up and coming vocalist Dana Moret, the band has shared the stage with award winning acts like LOS LOBOS, PABLO CRUISE, FRANK HANNON and LYDIA PENSE & COLD BLOOD, with special appearances by the principal members of the bands stopping in on a show or two a year as well.
This year we're working on more seating as well as some extra shade for an optimal day on the town.. With a lower ticket price (just $15 this year!!) you can not only enjoy all 3 bands at an affordable rate, but this year, the kids get in FREE!
