Fundraiser for the Fallen Event

On October 24, 2014, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department lost Deputy Danny Oliver and the Placer County Sheriff’s Department lost Detective Michael David Davis, Jr. when they were both killed in the line of duty. Together, we are working with the Community Pride Project, Sacramento Republic FC and various local businesses to host a Fundraiser for the Fallen on Nov 20.

The Fundraiser will be held at the Sacramento Republic FC Headquarters and will feature craft beer provided by New Helvetia, Heretic, New Glory, Jackrabbit, Rubicon, and Lagunitas, food by the Fuzion Eats truck, caramels from Rebel Confectionery, live music from Kamikaze Ensemble Band, and raffle giveaways by His And Her Beer Notes, Rebel Confectionery & Jams, Sac Republic FC, Heather Lenefsky, and Hood Hops Ranch.

If you’re so inclined to run or bike to the fundraiser, join Sloppy Moose Running Club & Sac Brew Bike at 6:30 pm at New Helvetia & end up at Fundraiser For The Fallen.

When Scott Scoville and Ted Rozalski from Beers in Sac approached Terrence Johnson from the Oak Park Business Association and the Community Pride Project about helping with this fundraiser, they immediately jumped on board.

“Their work to promote the local businesses and their successes have significantly complimented the goals of the OPBA and the CPP to create and promote a sense of community via street fairs, and promotional events.

We share the opinion that when the community gathers, it grows.  That growth shows up by way of reduced crime, safer streets, quality of life improves and the entire neighborhood benefits.” says Johnson.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the families of the fallen and will be distributed by the Community Pride Project,  a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to serving the communities surrounding the Oak Park and Stockton Boulevard neighborhoods in South Sacramento.

The Fundraiser for the Fallen will be held at the Sacramento Republic FC Headquarters at 2421 17th Street, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95818 from 6-9 pm. Please drink responsibly.
